CBC Geospatial Consulting has provided litigation consulting and expert witness services for civil cases involving wildland fire, explosions, catastrophic injury, and wrongful death.
Qualifications and surveying expert witness credentials include:
  • More than 25 years of experience in land surveying and geomatics engineering;
  • More than 10 years of experience conducting wildland fire surveys, forensic investigation surveys, and providing land surveying expert witness services;
  • Litigation consultant and/or expert witness for incident investigations and/or civil lawsuits for plaintiff and defense counsel including more than 50 wildland fires:
  • More than 10 years of experience in terrestrial LiDAR / 3D laser scanning surveys;
  • Employment of ground-based LiDAR in combination with other geospatial sensors and methods to provide a multitude of mapping products and 3D analysis;
  • Experience in giving depositions, preparation of state and federal court exhibits including Rule 26 reports, LiDAR presentations, animated fly-throughs, orthophotography, topographic and planimetric basemapping, cross sections, profiles, reconstructions, and digital terrain models;
  • BS, Geomatics Engineering, California State University, Fresno, CA, 1999;
  • AA, Forest Engineering Technology, College of the Redwoods, Eureka, CA, 1979.
